When commercial space travel is finally available to Mars, there will inevitably be gift shops - if fast food and coffee chains don’t get there first. What would be in there though? T-shirts, of course, and probably mugs with “I <3 Mars” on them.
Seriously though, that kind of merch would be worth a fortune back on Earth, a lucky traveller could make a nice profit.
Sadly, we as a species are a long way away from commercial space flights to anywhere except maybe once around the moon and back. Until the days of holidaying on Mars are here, we have tracked down 10 of the next best things for you.
We have here for you our Top 10 Mars Products that you can pick up here on Earth.
If the likes of Elon Musk aren’t going to get us to Mars (at least, not for a long time) then we have to think of another way to occupy Mars.
This T-Shirt is just, well, highly aesthetically pleasing. A lot of the time, this kind of shirt can be too cheesy to wear, but this kind of has timeless classic written all over it.
Mars? Check. Astronauts? Check. Beatles album cover? Che… What? You won’t find a shirt like this in a Mars gift shop. Probably. In what is probably the greatest cross over episode, there exists one of the coolest shirts in the solar system.
This NASA shirt is officially licensed, so the quality is unsurpassed.
This is the type of print that looks amazing in any room of a home or even an office. There's no frame with this amazing quality print but, looking at the available dimensions, finding the right frame will be a doddle - should you track the print down.
Professionally printed, on thick paper, there isn’t a space enthusiast that wouldn’t love this and who could blame them?

A Mars themed, dateless planner that provides space for 13-week pages and 86 daily pages… and it looks fantastic. We love this mostly for the cover artwork, it's very reminiscent of old sci-fi movies.
With a matte-finish cover, this organiser is perfect for the Mars fan that wants to stay organised. We love it.
You might not be able able to have a cold beer on Mars, yet, but you can still have a Mars themed keyring bottle opener on your keys - that way, you will always be ready to go.
As well as being practical and great to look at, nobody will mistake your keys for theirs again.
Having trouble getting to Mars? No problem, you can just bring the Red Planet to you. The globe is made of acrylic and held in a copper base/frame.
The globe itself is incredibly detailed and is labelled - even the landing sites of various probes, and the location of Beagle 2. A Red Planet globe is the perfect nightlight and comes complete with a bulb.
A new take on a popular holiday souvenir. It’s unusual enough to be a great gift idea for anybody, whether they are fans of the Red Planet or not. Or, better, gifting yourself is quite good too.
Featuring a mars model with two astronauts having a stroll, the dust globe just needs a quick shake to remind them Mars is hostile.
